Pakistan's top diplomat to India, Saad Ahmad Warraich has expressed hopes of a "new dawn in Pakistan-India relations." Speaking at the Pakistan National Day celebrations, Warraich also talked about "seeking peaceful relations with India."
He said, "Pakistan's foreign policy is founded on the abiding ideals of fostering global peace and security and promoting collective well-being and international cooperation. Pakistan has consistently endeavored friendly relations with other states based on the principles of sovereign equality, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence. This edifying approach has also guided our quest to seek peaceful relations with India. South Asia, a shared home, must march forward with stable peace, equal security, and shared prosperity."
He also said, "What is required is a constructive spirit, one that prioritizes collaborative efforts to find common solutions rather than creating forced outcomes. The path of diplomacy remains more imperative than ever. Today, millions of people across the world are celebrating the joyous festival of Nawroz. Since time immemorial, the advent of spring has served as a harbinger of hope, renewal, and rejuvenation. A new dawn in Pakistan-India relations can also emerge by enhancing mutual understanding, addressing shared concerns, and resolving long-standing disputes, including Jammu and Kashmir."
He stated, "Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, we've recently seen the positivity generated by the vibrant colors of Holi. On this Pakistan Day, we have endeavored to showcase the dazzling colors of Pakistan—iconic images capturing the enchanting landscape of our country, exquisite artwork by noted artists including Askar Ali, Ajab Khan, Sumair Amin, and Saba Ahmad, depicting our rich cultural heritage, and the delectable Pakistani cuisine providing a feast for the palate."
He added, "I wish you a very enjoyable and pleasant evening. I thank you very much for your presence once again. Thank you very much."
