Samsung’s bringing back the Edge—thinner, smarter, and it may launch in India

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge has been making waves ever since it was teased at the Galaxy Unpacked event earlier this year. After a brief showcase at MWC 2025, anticipation for the device has only grown. Now, fresh leaks suggest that Samsung’s sleek new addition to the S25 lineup—including the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra—could finally be making its way to India next month.

Launch timeline and price—brace your wallets!

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Galaxy S25 Edge will officially launch in India next month, with leaks pointing to an April 16 release. However, don’t expect a global rollout—word on the street is that Samsung is keeping this model exclusive to select markets.

As for the price, the S25 Edge is rumoured to carry a hefty tag of around Rs. 1,10,000 in India. In the US, leaks suggest a $999 price point, which roughly converts to Rs. 87,150. But thanks to taxes and import duties, the Indian pricing is expected to be significantly higher—so be ready to shell out if you’re planning to grab this one.

Sleek, powerful, and AI-packed—what’s under the hood?

The Galaxy S25 Edge isn’t just another pretty face—it’s bringing some serious hardware to the table. The phone sports a razor-thin 8.3mm body around the camera module, giving it a slim yet premium feel. Under the hood, it’s expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, the same powerhouse found in the rest of the S25 series. Paired with 12GB of RAM and a 6.66-inch AMOLED display with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate, it’s shaping up to be a serious contender. The screen is also rumoured to feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability.

On the software side, Samsung is packing the S25 Edge with Android 15 and its latest One UI 7, complete with Galaxy AI features. This means users can expect smarter interactions, enhanced productivity tools, and AI-driven camera tricks.

Cameras, battery, and everything else that matters

Unlike the Ultra variant, which goes all-in with multiple sensors, the Galaxy S25 Edge keeps things simple with a dual-camera setup. But don’t let that fool you—the main 200MP sensor promises crisp, high-detail shots, while the 12MP ultrawide lens should handle sweeping landscapes with ease.

Powering all this is a 3,900mAh battery—on the smaller side compared to other flagships, but likely a necessary trade-off for the phone’s ultra-slim design. It supports 25W wired charging, which isn’t exactly mind-blowing, but should be enough to keep it going without long downtimes.

Should you be excited?

The Galaxy S25 Edge is shaping up to be an intriguing addition to Samsung’s premium lineup, offering a sleek design without compromising on power. If you’re after a flagship with cutting-edge AI features, top-tier performance, and a refined look, this one’s worth keeping an eye on. If the leaks hold up, you won’t have to wait much longer—April might just be the month it lands in India.
