Key Ministries Under One Roof

The building will house the Ministries of Home, External Affairs, MSME, Rural Development, Petroleum, DoPT & the Principal Scientific Adviser’s office

Replacing Outdated Bhawans

It replaces ageing structures like Shastri, Krishi, Udyog, and Nirman Bhawan, built in the 1950s–70s, considered inefficient and outdated.

Common Central Secretariat Plans

10 buildings are planned under the CCS. CCS 1 & 2 to be completed by next month, CCS 10 by April 2026, and CCS 6 & 7 by October 2026.

Temporary Ministry Shifts

Offices will temporarily shift to Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Minto Road, and Netaji Palace for two years during the construction phase.

Buildings to Be Retained

Modern buildings like the National Museum, National Archives, Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan, Dr Ambedkar Auditorium, and Vanijya Bhawan will remain.

Other Central Vista Projects

The Centre has already built a new Parliament, Vice President Enclave, and redeveloped Kartavya Path from Vijay Chowk to India Gate.

Executive Enclave Coming Soon

The upcoming Executive Enclave will include a new PMO, Cabinet Secretariat, India House, and the NSC Secretariat.

A new Prime Minister's residence will be built in the second phase of the Executive Enclave plan.
