The monsoon makes roads slippery and visibility poor. Extra caution while driving is the best way to protect yourself and others.
Ensure tyres have good tread depth and proper air pressure. Worn-out tyres increase the risk of skidding on wet roads.
Use headlights even during the day in heavy rain. It helps you see clearly and makes your vehicle visible to others.
Braking distances increase on slippery roads. Keep at least double the usual gap from the vehicle in front of you.
No sharp turns, no hard braking. Gentle steering and slow braking reduce chances of losing control on wet surfaces.
Speeding in rain is risky. Drive slower than usual, especially on highways or water-logged streets.
Check wipers before the season starts. Always keep them on in rain for clear visibility.
Avoid water-logged patches whenever possible. Hidden potholes can damage tyres or cause accidents.
Do not attempt to drive through deep water. Your car could stall or get swept away by strong currents.
Traffic jams and delays are common in monsoon. Patience and safe driving are more important than rushing to your destination.
