Sawan Somwar fasts in 2025: July 14, 21, 28 & Aug 4. Devotees observe Monday fasts to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings for health and prosperity.
Many begin the 16-week Solah Somwar fast during Sawan to fulfill wishes and seek marital bliss through Lord Shiva’s blessings.
Tuesdays in Sawan are dedicated to Goddess Parvati. Married women observe Mangal Gauri Vrat for marital harmony and prosperity.
As per the Amanta calendar, states like Maharashtra, Gujarat & Karnataka observe Sawan from July 25 to Aug 23, 2025 with equal devotion.
Sawan Shivratri falls on July 23, 2025. Nishita Kaal Puja is from 12:01 AM to 12:45 AM on July 24, with night-long worship and devotion.
Hariyali Amavasya in Shravan is marked by planting sacred trees like Tulsi, Bilva, Amla & Neem, believed to bring health, prosperity & positivity.
Devotees wake early, bathe, clean the puja space, and offer Panchamrit, Bilva leaves, flowers, itra, chandan & akshat to Lord Shiva and Parvati.
