Start hydrating and eating nutritious meals 2–3 days before the fast. A well-prepared body handles long fasting hours better.
Include dry fruits, fruits, whole grains, and dairy in your pre-dawn meal. Avoid sugary or oily foods that cause energy crashes later in the day.
Since Karva Chauth involves a no-water fast, drink ample water, coconut water, or nimbu paani before sunrise to stay hydrated longer.
Keep movements gentle. Overexertion can lead to fatigue, dizziness, or headaches—especially while fasting without water.
Rest your body and mind. Engage in light activities like reading, listening to bhajans, or meditation to stay calm and composed.
When the moon rises, begin with water or juice. Avoid spicy, fried foods—start with light fruits or warm soup before a full meal.
Pregnant women should consult a doctor before fasting. If fasting, choose fruit or liquid-based options—prioritize health and baby’s safety.
Karva Chauth is a beautiful ritual of love and devotion. Listen to your body, stay mindful, and embrace the day with gratitude and positivity.
