Today, May 13, 2025, marks the first Bada Mangal of the year, a sacred Tuesday dedicated to Lord Hanuman, observed with deep devotion.
Bada Mangal, also called Budhwa Mangal, observed on Jyeshtha Tuesdays, honors Lord Hanuman and symbolizes strength, devotion, and divine protection.
'Bada' means great or elder, referring to Hanuman’s powerful & wise form. This special Tuesday is believed to bring blessings and remove obstacles.
Hanuman temples are packed with devotees on this day, offering vermilion, oil, flowers, and sweets, chanting Hanuman Chalisa with reverence and joy.
Devotees light lamps, sing bhajans, perform aartis & read scriptures. Many fast and give to charity, seeking strength, wisdom & Hanuman’s protection.
Large-scale bhandaras (free meals) are organized across cities today, embodying the values of service, unity, and selfless giving in Hanuman’s name.
It is not just a date—it’s a spiritual celebration of faith in Hanuman. Bada Mangal brings hope, courage, and divine blessings to all.
