The luxury real estate market in India is booming! The richest families in the country are spending crazy amounts of money on huge apartments and penthouses. These homes are setting a standard for luxury in cities. From skyscrapers with ocean views in Mumbai to exclusive spots in Gurugram, there's a desire for fancy properties.

₹639 crore record breaker

Leena Gandhi Tewari, who runs USV Pharmaceuticals, is on top for spending ₹639 crore. She bought two duplexes with ocean views in the Naman Xana project in Worli, Mumbai. They're a total of 22,572 sq ft. The size and location make this one of the most residential purchases in India.

Gurugram is in the billionaire club

Luxury isn't just in Mumbai anymore. A business family from Delhi recently spent ₹380 crore on four next-door apartments in DLF’s The Dahlias project in Gurugram. Their idea is to put them together into one mega-residence that's 35,000 sq ft. It would be the private home in the Delhi area.

Mumbai’s sky-high mansions

Mumbai is still a leader for luxury. JP Taparia, who started Famy Care, purchased apartments for ₹369 crore at Lodha Malabar in South Mumbai. It has 27,160 sq ft and an ocean view, showing that Mumbai is a top market for luxury homes.

Tanya Dubash from Godrej Industries bought a 9,214 sq ft duplex in the same Worli building where Tewari made her record purchase. The deal cost ₹226 crore.

Luxury spreads

Luxury is getting popular in northern India quickly. Rishi Parti, CEO of Info-X Software Tech, spent ₹190 crore on a penthouse in Gurugram’s DLF Camellias. This shows that Gurugram is becoming the capital of luxury living in India.

Seema Singh from Alkem Laboratories spent ₹185 crore on a 14,866 sq ft penthouse in Lodha Sea Face, Worli. It is big, pretty, and exclusive.

A market for billionaires

The number of super-rich people in India is growing. Luxury now means big spaces and fancy towers. These places come with privacy, style, and value. For the richest people in the country, these homes are more than just living spaces. They are status symbols purchased with real estate.
