The early 2000s were probably the best. Good music, great films, and ample time to enjoy them, the 2000s were definitely a great time. When it comes to Bollywood, from 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...', 'Mohabbatein’, ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’, to ‘Josh’, the film industry was thriving with back-to-back hit films with strong story lines and great actors.
While many early 2000 films are coming back to theatres, how would it be to have a proper sequel of the films we have grown up watching?

While rumours mills are buzzing with a second instalment of the Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel starrer, we have no official confirmation. What happens to Raj and Sonia? Do they have kids? Does Sonia miss Rohit, or has she accepted her new life with Raj?
There are so many unanswered questions. Scriptwriters, are you listening?
While Aman (Shah Rukh Khan) is no more, what happens to Naina and Rohit? Are they living their forever? What about Gia (Jhanak Shukla), what did she grow up to be? There are so many plotlines we would love to see back on the big screens. A film reuniting the characters and taking us to what happens 25 years later will definitely soothe our soul.
But then again, what would the film do without SRK aka Aman?
Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Mohabbatein’ has forever remained a fan favourite film. Imagine getting a second instalment, an alternate universe where Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan) has accepted Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) and Megha's (Aishwarya Rai) relationship and they are leading a happy, normal life whilst teaching at the Gurukul.
Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor's 'Aitraaz' was way ahead of its times and we would love to see the three reunite for the sequel. Produced by Subhash Ghai and directed by Abbas-Mastan, 'Aitraaz' focused on the sexual harassment of a man by his former lover.
With great songs, an average plotline and Preity Zinta-Saif Ali Khan's chemistry, 'Salaam Namaste' was one film from 2005 which millennials loved and rewatched multiple times. What would Nick and Ambar be doing in 2025? Would they be in Australia or would they have started a family in India? Producer Aditya Chopra and the scriptwriters have many fan questions to answer!
The film also starred Arshad Warsi, Tania Zaetta and Jugal Hansraj.
