Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday evening, addressed the nation for the first time after Operation Sindoor. Speaking about India's retaliation against the Pahalgam terror attack, PM Modi said Operation Sindoor signals the "new normal" in India's fight against terror.
Operation Sindoor Isn't Over: PM
Making it clear that the ceasefire with Pakistan was not the end of Operation Sindoor, PM Modi added that terrorist attacks on India will face a befitting reply, and the response will be on India's terms.
He also said that terrorists and their backers will be dealt with in the same manner. Underlining the threat of terror, PM added that the way Pakistan military and the government are helping terrorism flourish, it will end Pakistan one day. Therefore, the PM warned, "If Pakistan want to be spared, it has to abolish the terror infrastructure."
Won't Tolerate Nuclear Blackmail: PM
Talking about the threats of nuclear attack in the past, PM Modi also warned Pakistan that no nuclear blackmail will be tolerated anymore. Prime Minister Modi also made it clear that 'terror and trade' can't happen together. Similarily, he added, that 'blood and water' can't flow together.
Underlining the ferocity of India's response to Pakistan, PM Modi said, "Pakistan was prepared to attack at the border, but India struck at the heart of Pakistan."
PM Salutes The Armed Forces
PM Modi also mentioned those who played a crucial role in the retaliation against Pakistan, and said "We all have seen the capability and patience of the country in the last few days. I salute the armed forces, the military, the intelligence agency and the scientists."
PM Modi went on to add, "Today, I dedicate this valour, bravery, courage (of armed forces) to every mother of our country, to every sister of the country and to every daughter of the country."
