The Congress has released the names of some of its candidates contesting in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. But stopped short of issuing an official list.
This is because the seat-sharing deal between the Mahagathbandhan partners remain unresolved.
The announcement came from Congress Bihar unit president Rajesh Ram, who is contesting from the Kutumba Assembly constituency.
Congress has released names of 16 candidates in its first list.
On Tuesday night, the party’s Central Election Committee cleared candidates for 43 seats.
Reports suggest that the grand old party will announce more candidates in the coming days once discussions are finalised with the INDIA bloc partners.
Meanwhile, the NDA has taken the lead with the candidate announcements.
