At least 15 people were killed in Himachal landslide accident. officials said two minors were rescued from the bus, and efforts are on to rescue others. Police said the rescue operation was hampered due to intermittent rain.

At least 15 people were killed in a landslide in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur district. As per the police, nine men, four women and two children were among those killed in the incident.

The bus was travelling from Marotan to Ghumarwin, when it was struck by a massive landslide in the Bhalughat area. The bus was completely crushed and buried under the landslide. Reports suggest that 30 to 35 people were on board the private bus.

Modi, President Murmu expressed grief

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sadness over the tragedy. The prime minister announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh from the PM National Relief Fund to the families of those who died and Rs 50,000 to the injured.

President Droupadi Murmu expressed her grief over the loss of lives in the accident.

In a post on social Media X, President Murmu said, " The news of the deaths of several people in a bus accident caused by a landslide in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, is extremely tragic. I express my condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and pray for the speedy recovery of those who have been injured.
