Famed election strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has triggered a fresh controversy. reports suggest that Kishor is registered as a voter in West Bengal, in addition to his home state of Bihar.
Remember, his newly launched Jan Suraaj party is contesting polls in Bihar this year.
According to reports, Kishor is a voter from Bihar’s Kargahar assembly segment under the Sasaram parliamentary constituency. His polling station is located at his ancestral village of Konar, in the Rohtas district.
Kishor worked for TMC
While as, Kishor is also registered from Kolkata's 121 Kalighat Road. The address matches the Trinamool Congress office in Bhabanipur, which is Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s assembly constituency.
Remember, Kishor was a political consultant for the TMC during the 2021 Assembly elections.
A member of his team told the Indian Express that Kishor became a voter in Bihar after the Bengal polls. He has apparently applied to have his Bengal voter card cancelled.

But, is not the first case of voter duplicity in Bihar. Earlier, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and deputy chief minister Vijay Kumar Sinha were enrolled in Patna as well as their respective assembly constituencies.
The Election Commission cited duplicate registrations as the primary reason to conduct Special Intensive Revision. The controversial exercise in Bihar led to the removal of over 68 lakh voters from the electoral rolls.
