The terrorists responsible for the deadly bombing near New Delhi’s Red Fort may have been preparing for a bigger blow.

Reports say the group, which has now been linked to terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, were planning to strike areas like India Gate, Gauri Shankar Temple and the Constitution Club of India.

The 26/11-style attack would have been largely concentrated in the national capital and included more than 200 bombs, according to NDTV. Other heavily crowded areas like railway stations and shopping malls were also potential targets.

PM Modi returns from Bhutan

PM Modi ended his 2-day visit to Bhutan on November 12 and returned to the national capital. Just minutes after touching down, he went to visit those injured in the Red Fort bombing. All of them are admitted to the Lok Nayak Hospital.

Calling Modi an “accomplished spiritual master”, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay in a social media post said the prime minister inaugurated and blessed the sacred Kalachakra Empowerment which began as part of the ongoing Global Peace Prayer Festival.

Modi also met with Bhutan’s former King Jigme Singye Wangchuck and said he appreciated his extensive efforts over the years towards further cementing ties between the two South Asian neighbours.

Blame game over Islamabad bombing

The deadly blast outside district court buildings on Tuesday was claimed by a faction of the Pakistani Taliban, a militant group that has been behind a series of attacks in other parts of the country.

Despite that, Pakistan alleged India’s involvement. In response, India said it was a predictable tactic by Pakistan to concoct false narratives against India. New Delhi said the international community is well aware of the reality and will not be misled by Pakistan’s desperate diversionary ploys.

Big NDA victory in Bihar?
