Aprilia has stirred the Indian motorcycle market by introducing a slew of superbikes, including the Tuareg 660, the RSV4 Factory, the RS 660, and the Tuono 660.
The Tuareg 660 has launched in India for the first time, while the RSV4 Factory, the RS 660, and the Tuono 660 have been reintroduced. In terms of price, the Tuareg 660 starts at Rs 18.85 lakh, while the Tuono 660 costs Rs 17.44 lakh. On the other hand, the RS 660 and the RSV4 Factory are priced at Rs 17.74 lakh and Rs 31.26 lakh, respectively. These are ex-showroom prices.
Except for the RSV4 Factory, which has a 1099cc engine, the trio of 660cc Aprilia superbikes have the same twin-cylinder 659cc engine, with different power and torque outputs. Let's take a closer look at each of these Aprilia models in case you plan to house one in your garage.
The price of the brand-new Aprilia Tuareg 660 ranges between Rs 18.85 lakh and Rs 19.16 lakh (ex-showroom, India), depending on the colour. The first ADV by Aprilia in India is propelled by a 659cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a six-speed gearbox that produces 80bhp and 79Nm. In terms of hardware, the middleweight motorcycle features KYB's fully adjustable 43mm USD front fork and rear mono-shock unit. It has twin front discs and a single rear disc for braking. The new Tuareg 660 sports 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels with tubeless tyres.
The impressive feature list of the mid-size adventure touring bike includes four ride modes (two of which can be customised), switchable ABS, multiple levels of traction control, cruise control, engine brake control, and a 5-inch TFT display. In India, the Tuareg 660 competes with the Honda XL750 Transalp (Rs 11 lakh), the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE (Rs 10.30 lakh), and the BMW F850 GS (Rs 12.95 lakh). It comes in three colours: Atreides Black, Canyon Sand, and Evocative Dakar Podium.
