The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested gangster Anmol Bishnoi in Delhi on Wednesday following his deportation from the US. Anmol, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is one of India’s most wanted fugitives.

He faces at least 18 criminal cases. Anmol is supposed to be the 'main plotter' in the murder of former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique. He's also wanted in the murder of Punjabi rapper Sidhu Moose Wala.

Al-Falah Uni chairperson sent to ED custody

Shifting focus - a Delhi court on Wednesday sent Al Falah University chairperson and founder Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui to 13 days’ Enforcement Directorate custody.

Siddiqui was arrested following searches at premises linked to the Al Falah group - whose university in Faridabad is under scrutiny after the Red Fort blast. The ED alleges that Siddiqui and the Al-Falah charitable trust generated over ₹415 crore by misleading students and parents with false claims of NAAC accreditation and UGC recognition.

New Bihar government to take oath tomorrow

Next - a new NDA government will take oath in Bihar once again. Incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar resigned as part of the formal process of dissolution of the current assembly.

The JD(U) supremo has been named the leader of NDA legislature party that bagged a historic 202 seats in the 243-seat Bihar Assembly. The swearing-in ceremony of the new government will take place tomorrow (Thursday) at the iconic Gandhi Maidan.

US Senate votes near-unanimously to release Epstein files

And finally in the US - the Senate voted near-unanimously to approve a legislation that would force the release of the so-called Epstein files.

The move has nearly wrapped up a bipartisan effort Donald Trump had fought for months. However, Trump said he would sign off on the bill.
