The ongoing anti-government protests in Kenya have taken on a deadly turn with a number of deaths and injuries being reported.

The protests were partly fueled by the death of a blogger in police custody. However, the larger spate of anti-government protests has persisted for over a year now with the protesters demanding better governance and a clamp down on corruption.
