20 people were killed and 12 others injured after a private bus caught fire following an accident in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district. The bus carrying about 44 passengers from Hyderabad to Bengaluru was almost immediately engulfed in flames after colliding with a motorcycle.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the tragedy whilst announcing an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh each for the family of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured from the PMNRF.

Trump terminated all trade negotiations with Canada
US President Donald Trump terminated all trade negotiations with Canada over an advert critical of the tariffs he imposed on the Great White North.
As he usually does, Trump took to Truth Social to declare the advert was “FAKE” and “egregious”. The advert, sponsored by the government of Canada’s province of Ontario, quoted former Republican US President Ronald Reagan saying tariffs “hurt every American”.
