Back in 2014, Varun made a brief appearance in the Tamil sports drama Jeeva, where he played a struggling cricketer. The film, directed by Suseenthiran, explored the challenges faced by aspiring cricketers in Tamil Nadu. Little did anyone know that the guy playing a fictional cricketer would go on to become a real-life sensation on the pitch!
