AI can literally be anything you want it to be, but can it ever replace your DJ or a graphics designer? Well, now it can thanks to the ChatGPT's new integration with Spotify and Canva. You can now discover and launch music or podcasts and generate on‑brand graphics without leaving the conversation. No tab hopping, no extra log-in mid‑flow. It’s a very tiny change that can give creators, working professionals, students, and in fact anyone who lives inside ChatGPT, a major productivity boost.

What can Spotify do in ChatGPT?

You can now prompt ChatGPT to “Play a party playlist for deep work,” or “Find a podcast on meditation” and it will bring out selected songs from Spotify and a podcast you wanted to listen to.
Integrating Spotify with ChatGPT is very easy. The first time you want to play a song from the music streaming service, you’ll be asked to link your account with ChatGPT. Once that is sorted out, you can request songs, artists, albums, playlists, or mood‑based recommendations.

Design with Canva without leaving the chat

Need an Instagram post, a pitch deck cover, or a presentation refresh? Just say, “Canva, create an Instagram post announcing our Diwali sale,” and ChatGPT returns an editable Canva design you can preview and tweak in place. You can ask it to rewrite a copy across slides, tighten headlines, or translate the whole deck, and then export it when you’re happy. Canva confirms you can now create, preview, and edit designs directly inside ChatGPT; just type “Canva” in your prompt to surface the app and get to work.

Availability and plans

So here's where we stand as of writing this article: Spotify in ChatGPT is available to all ChatGPT Free, Plus, and Pro accounts on web and mobile (iOS and Android). Canva in ChatGPT is rolling out to Free, Plus, and Pro users outside the EU at launch. So, depending on your region and account, you may see it appear over the coming days.

How to enable the apps?

Getting started is very easy. In a chat window, just type “Spotify”, hit go, and then connect your account when prompted. You can then start asking it to play songs, playlists, or podcast episodes.
For Canva, just type “Canva” to spin up a design from a prompt or edit existing assets, no manual exports required. If you’re on Business or School plans, your admin settings may influence access to work with these apps.

Why it matters?

ChatGPT just levelled up into a proper creative workspace. You can now brainstorm ideas, search the web, listen to your go-to playlists or podcasts for focus, and even design visuals or presentation decks — all without leaving the chat.
Whether you’re working solo or collaborating with a team, having everything in one place means fewer distractions and smoother flow. The more uninterrupted your process, the better your ideas turn out.
If you’ve been curious about how AI can fit into your daily workflow, this is a great place to start. Fire up Spotify in ChatGPT to get into your zone, and use Canva inside ChatGPT to turn your prompts into ready-to-share posters and slides. It’s the most effortless way to go from idea to creation.
