Are you planning to travel to the United Kingdom this summer for a holiday? Or are you eyeing a degree from a prestigious college in London? Well, if any of these is on your radar then get ready to shell out more money. Starting April 9, 2025, UK visa fees for Indians are getting a uniform 10% increase across the board.

Shell Out More For UK Visa
With the latest hike, the fee for the six-month visitor visa will rise from around ₹12,600 to ₹14,000. The student visa goes from ₹54,000 to almost ₹58,000, and the long-term visitor visa jumps from ₹1,06,000 to a whopping ₹1,16,000.

Visitor Visa Cost:
Short-term (up to 6 months): Current £115; new £127—an increase of £12.
Long-term (up to 2 years): Current £432; new £475—an increase of £43.
Long-term (up to 5 years): Current £771; new £848—an increase of £77.
Long-term (up to 10 years):Current £963; new £1,059——an increase of £96.

Student Visa Cost


UK is raising visa fee for students also by a flat 10% across categories. Students, both main applicant and dependants, will have to spend almost ₹58,000 starting April 9, 2025.Student – main applicants and dependents – Current £490; new £524—an increase of £34
Child Student – Current £490; new £524—an increase of £34
Short term student studying English language – Current £200; new £214—an increase of £14

Priority Visa: Cost Unchanged


While it has increased the visa fee, the United Kingdom Hope Department has kept the pricing for services like priority visa unchanged. Priority visa service, for both settlement and non-settlement categories, will continue to cost £500 as before.Fee for super priority visa service also remains unchanged at £1,000. User Pays Visa Application service, International Contact Centre – Email Service (per query), International Contact Centre – Telephone Helpline (per minute) also remains unchanged.
