Finn Allen, the Kiwi dasher who’s been a regular ghost in IPL auctions, just flipped the script in the most violent way imaginable. Playing for the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket (MLC), Allen turned the pitch into a launchpad, smashing an outrageous 151 off just 51 balls — and in the process, he smoked 19 sixes. Yes, nineteen. The most ever in a T20 match. Just let that sink in.

Chris Gayle? Dethroned. Nicholas Pooran? Outpaced. IPL scouts? Probably crying in their spreadsheets and questioning their algorithms.

Allen brought up his 50 in just 20 balls, then blasted his way to 100 in 34 — the fastest century by any New Zealander in T20s. And if that wasn’t enough, he rocketed to 150 in just 49 balls, breaking Dewald Brevis' record which he achieved in 50 deliveries. In total, 134 of his 151 runs came through boundaries — with 114 of those from sixes alone. That’s not a knock. That’s a hostile takeover.

Now let’s rewind:

This is the same Finn Allen who went unsold at the IPL auction three times, despite a base price of ₹2 crore. He never played a single game for RCB. He’s been warming benches or getting ignored completely.

And then — out of nowhere — he drops the most savage innings in T20 history.

Call it revenge. Call it redemption. Or better yet, call it a reminder. A reminder that talent doesn’t vanish just because a few franchises miss the memo.

The San Francisco Unicorns might’ve struck gold, but what they really unearthed is platinum. Because this isn’t just a statement innings — this is a global mic drop. And for every team that passed on him? Finn Allen just sent them all 19 reminders into orbit.
