This year's Bihar Assembly election had almost obvious outcomes. But the margin are well beyond what most political experts predicted. The Nitish Kumar led National Democratic Alliance is staring at a thumping victory after besting the Mahagathbandhan, which suffered a major loss.

The NDA has given its best-ever performance in the state, securing over 200 of the 243 seats up for grabs. The Mahagathbandhan will end up with with less than 50 seats in the state Assembly. What's worse? Their chief ministerial face -- RJD's Tejashwi Yadav -- is trailing in party stronghold Raghopur, Bihar.

Newcomer Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj party failed so spectacularly that it did not win a single seat in the Assembly election.

"The DNA results confirm that it was indeed Umar who was driving the fateful vehicle," a source told PTI.
