Jasbir Singh, a Punjab-based YouTuber, has been arrested in Mohali after police uncovered a “terror-backed espionage network” linked to him. According to officials, Jasbir Singh has allegedly travelled to Pakistan three times. The YouTuber was also in close contact with influencer Jyoti Malhotra, who is also in custody on charges of spying for Pakistan.
Monsoon session from July 21
The monsoon session of Parliament will be held between 21 July and 12 August, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Wednesday. The session is in focus as it will be the first parliamentary session after Operation Sindoor – India's strikes on terror camps in Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack.

Sisodia, Jain summoned
Former Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, and former minister Satyendar Jain have been summoned in the probe into the alleged classroom construction scam. The Delhi government's Anti-Corruption Branch has summoned the AAP leaders over alleged corruption in the construction of classrooms in government schools.
Delhi's plan to fight air pollution
The government of the National Capital Territory has announced a 25-point plan to cut air pollution and promote clean mobility. The plan targets sources of dust, such as construction sites and landfills, to curb air pollution using tools like anti-smog guns and water sprinklers. The Rekha Gupta-led BJP government has also promised 5,000 e-buses and over 2,000 autos to provide clean mobility.

Shahi Imam's Bakrid statement
Ahead of Bakrid, the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid in Delhi, Syed Shaban Bukhari, has urged the Muslim community to refrain from performing animal sacrifices in open areas or on the streets. He has also advised people to ensure cleanliness in their localities during the festival. The festival is likely to be celebrated on 6 or 7 June.
Indian equities trade higher
Indian equities ended their losing streak from the past few sessions to close higher on Wednesday. The Sensex managed to scale the 81,000 mark before closing slightly below that level. The Nifty bounced back above 24,600.
