For the first time since 1923, the poetic River Seine of Paris is now open to public swimmers! The over-a-century long ban was affected because of hygiene and safety concerns.

The 2024 Paris Olympics spurred on an extensive cleaning drive. The clean-up cost Parisian authorities well over a billion dollars but for a majority of the locals, it's money well spent!
