RPSG Ventures, an arm of the multinational conglomerate RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, has made its foray into the luxury couture and lifestyle segment. The company has acquired a strategic stake in FSP Design, which operates a bouquet of luxury brands including the iconic label Falguni Shane Peacock.
In a filing on November 18, RPSG Ventures informed the exchanges that it is acquiring a 40% stake in FSP Design at an enterprise value of ₹455.17 crore. The company also has the right to acquire an additional 10% of the issued share capital of FSP Design within the next 18 to 24 months.
The filing further said that the investment marks RPSG Ventures’ foray into the luxury couture segment, representing a significant milestone in its vision to build a diverse portfolio in the luxury fashion and lifestyle space.
The company’s existing portfolio spans IT services, business process management, FMCG, real estate and sports. Its BPM arm Firstsource Solutions, along with its subsidiaries, is a leading provider of customised business process management services in the US, the UK, India, Mexico and the Philippines.
RPSG Ventures also has a strong presence in the sports segment. RPSG Sports Private Limited and RPSG Sports South Africa PTY Limited own and operate the 'Lucknow Super Giants' franchise of the Indian Premier League and the 'Durban Super Giants' franchise of the South Africa T20 League respectively.
In the FMCG space, the company is known for its brands 'Too Yumm', 'Naturali' and 'Evita'. These are operated by Guiltfree Industries Limited, along with its step-down subsidiary Apricot Foods Private Limited.
FSP Design Private Limited is a Mumbai-headquartred company, engaged in the business of designing, manufacturing, marketing, sale and distribution of apparel and accessories through their luxury brand “Falguni Shane Peacock” / “FSP” and other associated intellectual properties.
FSP Design’s products are sold at retail outlets via exclusive brand outlets, multi brand outlets stores and online sales in India and overseas. In the financial year 2024-25, the company's total revenue from operations stood at ₹91.75 crore.
