Sanju Samson has undeniable T20I talent, with three hundreds for India, but consistency is a big issue. Even after 48 innings, his average is still under 25. In this series, he scored just 40 runs in four innings, and since the start of 2025, he has only 262 runs in 15 innings at an average below 18. With Ishan Kishan firing, the final T20I vs New Zealand at his home ground is a make-or-break chance to lock the opening slot.
