Have you been wearing your dupatta the same old way? This wedding season, ditch the same boring drapes and try these newer styles instead, just like Ananya Panday.

The diva loves her share of ethnic wear and is often seen sporting gorgeous lehengas and salwar suits. While we love her looks, we have especially noticed how she drapes her dupatta differently. From playful chiffon wraps to structured one-shoulder drapes, Ananya shows us how to experiment with silhouettes without compromising tradition.

5 ways to style a dupatta ft. Ananya Panday

Make it a ‘Scandinavian’ scarf style

For those who love minimal elegance, Ananya’s Scandinavian scarf drape is your answer. Seen sporting a light chiffon or georgette dupatta styled like a chic 90s scarf, she pairs it with a strappy blouse for that effortless vibe.

Wear it on one shoulder

If your dupatta is made of stiffer fabrics like organza or tissue, take cues from Ananya’s elegant one-shoulder drape. It’s sleek, structured, and instantly elevates your outfit. We also love how Ananya has kept her makeup light and added a statement neckpiece to complete her look.

Wrap it on your wrists

Got your hands on a delicate net dupatta with a detailed border? Like the ‘Call Me Bae’ actor, wrap your dupatta neatly to highlight the border, drape it over one shoulder, and wrap it gracefully around your wrist. This is perfect for cocktail nights or sangeet evenings.

The looped waist drape

Do you have a dupatta that matches your lehenga, and you are confused about how to style it? Ananya shows the perfect way! Like the actor, drape your dupatta over one shoulder, loop it at the back, and pin it neatly on the other side of your waist. The look accentuates your lehenga design and gives you that classic, princess-like finish — ideal for a day wedding look.

The statement off shoulder dupatta drape

For those ready to make a statement, Ananya’s off-shoulder drape is a showstopper. Draping your dupatta this way highlights the blouse — whether it’s sequined, corset-style, or contrast-coloured. It also adds a playful touch to traditional wear.
