US NUCLEAR WEAPONS AGENCY BREACHED?
A report by Bloomberg news says that the US agency responsible for designing and maintaining nuclear weapons was breached during a hack. A source at the US National Nuclear Security Administration told Bloomberg that hackers exploited a vulnerability in Microsoft SharePoint to breach the agency’s defences. The breach took place on Friday, July 18. The NNSA source said that no sensitive or classified information was compromised during the breach, and all the impacted systems are being restored.
TRUMP ANNOUNCES TRADE AND TARIFF DEAL WITH THE PHILIPPINES
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced two new trade and tariff deals. Trump first announced a deal with the Philippines. He had a meeting at the White House with his Filipino counterpart, Ferdinand Marcos Jr. After the meeting, Trump announced a 19% tariff rate on imports from the Philippines. The rate is higher than the initial 17% tariff assigned to the Philippines back in April.

After the Philippines, Trump said he had reached a trade deal with Japan. He put up a post on his platform, Truth Social. Trump claims that Japan will invest $550 billion into the US. Tokyo will allegedly open its markets to American cars, trucks and agricultural products. And Trump said that Japanese exports to the US would face 15% tariffs, instead of the 25% announced in April.
21 GAZAN CHILDREN DIE OF STARVATION
Starvation is spreading across Gaza. On Tuesday, the head of Gaza City’s Al-Shifa hospital said that 21 children had died across the enclave over the previous 72 hours. He said they died due to malnutrition and starvation. Over 100 aid organisations, including Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children and Oxfam, have signed a statement declaring that mass starvation is underway in Gaza. Israel has blockaded the enclave since March. Aid organisations are being stopped from delivering food and supplies to starving Palestinians.
OZZY OSBOURNE PASSES AWAY AT 76
And finally, the “Godfather of Heavy Metal”, Ozzy Osbourne, has passed away. He was 76. Ozzy Osbourne passed away less than three weeks after he performed a farewell concert in his hometown of Birmingham in England. Born John Michael Osbourne, the self-styled “Prince of Darkness” joined the band which would become Black Sabbath in 1967. Ozzy Osbourne had reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates for his final concert this month.
