Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, known for his fiery spells on the field, showed a softer side during a recent interaction with fans in Canberra. As Team India wrapped up its practice session, a small group of Indian supporters, including Sukhdev Singh from Amritsar and his daughter Harshirat Kaur, waited outside the venue to catch a glimpse of their favorite players.
While signing autographs and meeting fans, Bumrah noticed the young girl visibly shivering in the cold. Despite being surrounded by a crowd, he politely asked the father multiple times to ensure the child was kept warm. Even as he moved toward the team bus, Bumrah continued to check on the girl, making it clear that her well-being mattered to him.
The moment left many fans present deeply touched, showcasing a thoughtful and compassionate side of the fast bowler. Witnesses described the gesture as genuine, reflecting Bumrah’s personality off the field- humble, grounded, and empathetic.
Jasprit Bumrah, who was rested for the recent ODI series, will return to action as India takes on Australia in a five-match T20I series starting tomorrow. He will once again don the blue jersey, bringing not just his skill with the ball, but also the character that makes him one of the most respected figures in world cricket.
