Saturday night against the Rajasthan Royals, Avesh Khan didn’t just bowl; he performed. RR couldn't chase 25 in the final 3 overs despite 8 wickets in hand.
This… THIS was the Avesh Khan the Lucknow Super Giants fans had been manifesting since the start of the season. Not just a pacer—the express train from Indore. The king of yorkers. The godfather of pressure. Saturday night against Rajasthan Royals? He didn’t just bowl. He performed.

RR were cruising. Everything under control. Just 25 needed off 18 balls with 8 wickets in hand. The match looked like it was already served on a platter. Nobody—and we mean nobody—thought Lucknow could pull this off from here. But Avesh Khan thought otherwise. And he didn’t just think—he executed.

18th over: dot ball, wicket, dot, single, wicket, single — just 5 runs and 2 wickets.

20th over: The pressure was boiling, the match was hanging by a thread, a catch was even dropped on the second last ball... but Avesh stayed cool, picked up another wicket, gave away only 6 runs, and even flung himself in a full-body dive to seal the win. That’s not just fast bowling. That’s Fast & Curious – curious how he keeps pulling off these last-over miracles.

And let’s be honest — RCB fans probably had flashbacks. Remember that helmet-drop celebration? That “I’m him” energy was back in full force.

LSG didn’t just bring him back this season, they summoned him. And it’s clear Avesh Khan is on a mission: to prove he’s the undisputed boss of the death overs.
What happened in RR vs LSG match?
Batting first, LSG finished at 180/5, courtesy of 4 sixes in the final over by Abdul Samad. Chasing which, RR were off to a flyer as Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed 74 and Vaibhav Suryavanshi had a debut to remember. The 14-year-old scored a fiery 34 runs and proved that he belonged among the big guys. But Avesh Khan's magic didn't let Rajasthan run away with the win.

Remember when LSG picked an all-Indian bowling line-up and critics were quick to rate it risky? Well, with the Super Giants having won 4 of their last 5 games, those critics would have surely become a part of the LSG brigade by now.

RR's campaign on the other hand went from bad to worse, as they were handed a 4th-consecutive defeat.
