He’s the quiet assassin in Gujarat Titans’ lineup — the calm amid the cricketing chaos. He’s been their unsung hero. And whenever Shubman Gill needs a breakthrough, his eyes turn straight to Prasidh. More often than not, Prasidh delivers.

If Mumbai Indians flaunt their Bumrah bling, Gujarat Titans play their Krishna card — Prasidh Krishna, that is.

And there’s a very good reason we’re putting him in the same league as the best in the business — because honestly, Prasidh has pulled off some absolute heroics in this IPL.

After vanishing for the last two seasons due to injuries, he didn’t just return — he made an entrance worthy of a Bollywood hero in slow motion.

10 matches, 18 wickets, an economy tighter than post-festival jeans — just 7.5! Oh, and by the way, he’s currently chilling at the top of the Purple Cap leaderboard.

If comebacks were a competitive sport, Prasidh Krishna would’ve already taken gold.

Case in point: Friday night. GT were defending 225 against the big-hitting SRH lineup, and what does our man do? Casually comes in, picks up 2 wickets for just 19 runs in his full quota of 4 overs.

An economy rate of 4.7 when the batters were going full beast mode? Absolutely bonkers.

Let’s be real — if someone gave you 100 guesses before IPL 2025 to name the season’s top bowler, not a soul would’ve said Prasidh Krishna.

Well, dear cricket fans, it’s time to eat your words and start penning those “Dear Prasidh, we’re sorry” letters.

What happened in GT vs SRH match?

Batting first, Gujarat Titans smashed 224/6, thanks to fiery half-centuries by Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler. Jaydev Unadkat did take 3 wickets but no support from other bowlers meant that the Sunrisers Hyderabad were chasing a mountain total.
And they couldn't complete the job. Abhishek Sharma kept them in the run chase with a swift 41-ball-74 but SRH could only manage 186/6.
While GT now have a foot in the playoffs door, Sunrisers' campaign is all but over.
