After recently dropping the Phone 3a and 3a Pro, Nothing is keeping the momentum going — this time through its budget-friendly sub-brand, CMF. The company just confirmed it’s launching a new smartphone and three pairs of earbuds later this month, and if you’ve been waiting for an affordable upgrade, this might be your moment.
CMF Phone 2 Pro launch date confirmed
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), CMF by Nothing revealed that it will unveil the CMF Phone 2 Pro on April 28 at 6:30 PM IST, not just in India but globally. This new model will officially replace the CMF Phone 1, which launched back in 2023.
But the Phone 2 Pro won’t be launching solo — it’s coming with a trio of new audio products: the CMF Buds 2, CMF Buds 2a, and CMF Buds 2 Plus. With this lineup, CMF seems to be going all in on delivering value-packed devices across categories.
What we know about the CMF Phone 2 Pro so far
CMF is still keeping most of the specs under wraps, but the company has shared a teaser image that shows off the rear design of the Phone 2 Pro. Based on the teaser, the phone will sport plastic edges, a removable back panel secured by a screw, and a sleek matte-glossy finish combo.
The branding — “CMF by Nothing” — sits subtly in the bottom-left corner, and while there’s no confirmation on internals yet, expectations are high that the Phone 2 Pro will offer noticeable upgrades over its predecessor, particularly in design, performance, and software experience.
Audio lineup Incoming: CMF Buds 2, 2a, and 2 Plus
In addition to the smartphone, CMF will also debut three new true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds. The CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus are expected to slot into different price tiers — giving users more choice depending on their needs and budget.
With Nothing known for its slick design language and clean software approach, fans are hoping CMF will bring that same DNA to its more affordable devices.
Mark your calendars — April 28 could be a big day for budget-conscious tech lovers.
