Check out our first impression of the Infinix GT 30 Pro — a budget gaming phone boasting 120fps BGMI, shoulder triggers, and solid performance. Is it the best affordable gaming phone? Find out what stands out.

Infinix’s GT 30 Pro is clearly designed for gamers on a budget. The company claims it can run BGMI at a stable 120fps without tweaks or hacks, promising solid performance out of the box. After testing the device for several days, here’s a detailed look at what it offers.

Bold design with gamer flair

The GT 30 Pro keeps a gamer-centric style but tones down last year’s boldness. The Blade White model offers sharp lines and red accents for a cleaner, less aggressive look than the black version. While opinions will vary, the white version strikes a balanced, stylish tone.

Built-in LEDs offer subtle lighting effects, with a Party Mode for extra flair. The plastic back feels sturdy and well-made, avoiding any cheap impression.

Flat, sturdy display built for long sessions

Protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, the large flat display has slim bezels, making it comfortable for extended gaming. Unlike curved screens, the flat design improves grip and usability during long play.

Weighing 188 grams, the phone feels solid and well-balanced in hand—ideal for marathon gaming.

Strong performance and smooth gameplay

Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate, with UFS 4.0 storage and LPDDR5x RAM, the GT 30 Pro scored a solid 1,294,075 on AnTuTu.

Gameplay tests showed BGMI running at an average 116.5fps, never dropping below 106fps. Call of Duty Mobile hovered around 60fps with minimal dips.

Thermal management held up well, with temperatures peaking at 42.7°C during BGMI and 37.2°C in COD Mobile. The phone stayed comfortable to hold, thanks to its vapor cooling system.

Cameras hold promise

The dual rear camera setup sits in a rectangular module alongside a flash. Camera testing is underway, with a full review expected soon.

Battery life that supports long play While exact battery specs weren’t disclosed, the phone’s weight and build hint at a battery capable of powering extended gaming sessions without quick drain.

Software features tailored for gamers

With an IP64 rating, the GT 30 Pro offers decent protection, though it lags behind competitors boasting IP68 or IP69.

The touch-sensitive shoulder triggers stand out—offering quick response and satisfying haptic feedback for gaming controls. Their smooth surface requires some finger training, but their presence on a budget phone is impressive.

Final verdict: A gamer’s budget pick

The GT 30 Pro balances style, performance, and gaming features well for its price range. Effective cooling, smooth frame rates, and thoughtful extras like shoulder triggers make it a strong contender for budget gamers.

How it compares with rivals like iQOO Neo 10R or Poco X7 Pro will become clearer after its June 3 India launch.
