How much battery is too much battery for a smartphone? 5,000mAh? Nah. 5,500mAh? Not even close. 6,500mAh? Try harder. This is the new iQOO Z10— and apparently, 7,300mAh is the new benchmark.
iQOO Z10: Battery & charging
This thing packs the biggest smartphone battery in India, which basically means you can forget about carrying a power bank ever again. But you’re probably wondering—what does a 7,300mAh battery actually do for you?
To give you a rough idea, you can binge-watch your favourite shows for up to 35 hours, game for around 15 hours, and even record videos for up to 8.5 hours. That’s a lot of screen time. Now, full disclosure - we still have to do a full battery test since we’ve only had the device for a limited time. But we’d be genuinely surprised if it didn't last more than two days with medium to heavy use.
iQOO Z10: Design & build
The crazy part is that iQOO has somehow crammed this massive battery into a 7.89mm frame while keeping the weight under 200g. That’s some serious engineering flex. The phone supports 90W fast charging, and the charger comes in the box. It can take you from 0 to 50 percent in just over 30 minutes.
As for aesthetics, the Z10 comes in two colours: Stellar Black and this Glacier Silver variant. It has a matte finish, which not only helps with grip and resists smudges but also adds a premium sheen. Plus, when you tilt it in your hand, it creates these subtle wavy patterns, which look pretty cool.
On the back, there’s a large circular camera module housing two lenses, surrounded by a silver ring. It’s a clean design, though nothing we haven’t seen before. The module does stick out a bit, but since it’s centrally placed, the phone doesn’t wobble much when placed on a flat surface. And just to clarify, the back isn’t glass—it’s plastic, just like the frame.
Despite the large battery, the phone feels lighter than expected. It doesn't have the bulk you might associate with a device of this size, and the slim design makes it comfortable to hold, even with one hand.
However, it’s a tall phone, so users with smaller hands might find it a bit tricky to reach the top of the screen without adjusting their grip. Overall, it feels balanced, and the curved edges help with grip without making the phone feel too bulky.
iQOO Z10: Display features
The display offers a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, which is exceptionally high for a phone in this price range. This means it performs well even in direct sunlight, ensuring content remains visible outdoors without issues.
The screen is quad-curved, which allows the display to seamlessly flow into the frame. This design choice makes swiping and gestures feel more fluid, contributing to a smoother overall experience.
iQOO Z10: Performance & benchmarks
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset powering the phone isn’t entirely new; it’s been used in devices like the Nothing Phone 3a series, Realme P3 Pro, and Realme 14 Pro+. However, those phones are priced between ₹25,000 and ₹30,000.
The iQOO Z10, on the other hand, is expected to start at ₹21,999, with potential discounts bringing it down to ₹19,999. iQOO is also calling this the Fastest Smartphone in the Segment, and they’re backing it up with an AnTuTu score of over 8.2 lakhs. And yeah, that checks out in our own testing as well.
iQOO Z10: Final thoughts
So, to sum it up: a battery that might outlast your weekend, a sleek design that doesn’t feel bulky, a crazy bright display, solid performance with a very decent chipset, and 90W fast charging to keep you going.
If this thing delivers on its promises, it might just be the new battery king in the mid budget segment. I also think it could be a great option for students who attend a lot of online classes and even for teachers who conduct them. But what do you think? Would you go for a phone this slim with a 7,300mAh battery?
