After making waves all over the world last year, the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are now finally available in India, marking Meta’s biggest wearable launch in the country yet.
They’ll be available in iconic Ray-Ban styles like the classic Wayfarer and the all-new Skyler, and users can customise them with clear, sun, or prescription lenses. The glasses are already up for pre-order and will hit major retail shelves soon.
Hands-free camera, open-ear audio, and built for creators
These smart glasses are made for creators on the go. They pack a 12MP camera that can snap sharp pics and record 1080p videos for up to 60 seconds. You can even livestream straight to Instagram or Facebook—no phone in hand, no problem.
The audio side is sorted too: there’s a revamped open-ear speaker system with improved bass and clarity, plus five mics to catch your voice perfectly. Whether you’re vlogging, calling, or just vibing to music, you’re covered.
Say “Hey Meta” and talk to your AI assistant
What sets these glasses apart is the built-in Meta AI. With just a “Hey Meta,” users can fire off questions or commands, hands-free. In India, the assistant will launch with text-based responses, while visual search and other features already seen in the US are expected to roll out here soon. The Meta View app makes it easy to sync with your phone and manage all your glasses’ features from one spot.
The Ray-Ban Meta glasses aren’t just smart—they look slick too. You’ve got frame options that keep things fashionable and functional. And they last long: the charging case gives you up to 36 hours of juice, with the case itself doubling as a battery pack.
Pricing, custom lenses, and battery life
The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses start at Rs 29,900, going up to Rs 35,700 depending on the style and lens you choose. They’re available for pre-order both online and offline, and you can even customise them with prescription lenses for a little extra. The glasses will be up for delivery starting May 19.
With Meta eyeing India for more hardware launches—like the Meta Quest VR headsets—these glasses might just be the beginning. If you’ve ever wanted a pair of glasses that snap, stream, speak, and style all at once, your moment’s here.
