The Galaxy Flip7 finally brings an edge-to-edge cover display.

Samsung’s foldable lineup just got a major 2025 refresh, and this year’s spotlight isn’t just on the top-end Fold7 or Flip7—it’s the new, more affordable Galaxy Z Flip7 FE that’s making waves. With smarter AI features, upgraded designs, and better battery life across the board, there’s something for every kind of user in this lineup.

Let’s break it down, one foldable at a time.

Galaxy Z Fold7: Thinner, lighter, and way more powerful

If you want the ultimate multitasking machine, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is still the top dog. It’s now Samsung’s thinnest and lightest Fold ever, weighing just 215g and measuring 8.9mm thick when closed. Yet it still opens into a stunning 8.0-inch QXGA+ AMOLED 2X display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The cover screen isn’t left behind either—it’s a 6.5-inch AMOLED with a 21:9 aspect ratio, perfect for casual use or one-handed tasks.

Under the hood, it’s powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. And with One UI 8 and Android 16 onboard, you get Galaxy AI features like Circle to Search, real-time translation, and content-aware multitasking—features that actually make use of that big inner screen.

The cameras got a serious upgrade too. There’s now a 200MP main sensor, along with a 12MP ultra-wide and a 10MP 3x telephoto. On the front, there are two 10MP selfie shooters—one on the cover, and one inside. Night video has also been enhanced with 10-bit HDR support for punchier low-light videos.

Battery-wise, the 4,400mAh dual-cell unit supports 25W wired charging, fast wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. Durability hasn’t been ignored either: Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front, Victus 2 on the back, Armor Aluminum frame, and a titanium-reinforced hinge give the Fold7 some serious toughness.

Galaxy Z Flip7: Slimmer design, brighter cover screen, smarter AI

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is all about blending style and power. It’s Samsung’s slimmest Flip yet at just 13.7mm folded, and weighs only 188g—making it ridiculously pocket-friendly. The outer FlexWindow is now a full 4.1-inch Super AMOLED that stretches edge to edge and peaks at 2,600 nits, making it the brightest Flip cover screen yet.

Inside, you’ve got a 6.9-inch FHD+ AMOLED display running at 120Hz. The Flip7 is powered by the Exynos 2500 chip with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. It also gets Samsung DeX support for the first time ever on a Flip device, so you can turn it into a makeshift desktop setup in a pinch.

Camera duties are handled by a 50MP main and a 12MP ultra-wide shooter on the back, and a 10MP selfie camera up front. With AI-assisted FlexCam and real-time filters directly on the cover screen, it’s pretty much a content creator’s dream setup.

And thanks to the larger 4,300mAh battery, this is the longest-lasting Flip yet. Charging speeds are fast, and you get both wired and wireless options. The build is rugged too, with Armor Aluminum and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for extra durability.

Galaxy Z Flip7 FE: Foldables just got way more affordable

The new Flip7 FE is Samsung’s big play to bring foldables to more people without cutting too many corners. It features the same 6.7-inch main AMOLED screen as the Flip7 and a 3.4-inch outer display that’s perfect for quick replies, widgets, or notifications.

It’s powered by the Exynos 2400 chipset, comes with 8GB RAM, and is available in 128GB or 256GB storage variants. You also get the same 50MP + 12MP rear camera setup and a 10MP front camera—basically the same optics as the standard Flip7.

The FE packs a slightly smaller 4,000mAh battery, but still supports fast charging and wireless PowerShare. It’s a bit thicker than the Flip7, but the compact form factor stays intact. Colour options are clean and classic—Black and White.

Foldables for everyone

This year’s foldable refresh is more than just spec bumps—it’s about giving users more choice. The Fold7 is the powerhouse multitasker, the Flip7 is the stylish all-rounder, and the Flip7 FE finally makes foldables accessible. Whether you want performance, portability, or affordability, Samsung’s 2025 lineup has a fold for you.
