Samsung just dropped the Galaxy S25 Edge globally, and it’s easily one of the boldest phones in the S25 lineup. While the S25 Ultra remains the spec king, the new Edge model is all about sleek style and serious power packed into an incredibly slim frame. And we’re not exaggerating — at just 5.8mm thick, it’s Samsung’s slimmest premium phone ever.
Slimmer than ever, but still a powerhouse
The Galaxy S25 Edge rocks a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display with a 1Hz–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, and has a titanium frame that keeps the weight down to just 163 grams. Basically, it’s light, tough, and premium all the way.
But the real jaw-dropper? Despite its slim design, Samsung still managed to fit the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip under the hood — the same one powering the Ultra model. And to keep things cool, there’s a redesigned vapour chamber that’s thinner, but wider, for better heat dissipation during gaming or heavy multitasking.
On the camera front, Samsung went big. The S25 Edge features a 200MP primary sensor, which the company says performs up to 40% better in low light compared to the standard S25. There’s also a 12MP ultrawide camera that doubles as a macro shooter, plus a 12MP selfie cam. What’s missing, though, is a dedicated telephoto or periscope lens — something that might sting a bit given the price tag. And unlike some of its siblings, this one skips the third rear camera entirely.
To hit that crazy-thin profile, something had to give — and it’s the battery. The Galaxy S25 Edge is fitted with a 3,900mAh cell, slightly smaller than what you get on the base S25. It supports 25W wired charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging — so no changes there on the power front.
Runs on One UI 7 with seven years of updates
Running on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7, the S25 Edge also comes loaded with AI features like Call Transcript, Drawing Assist, and Writing Assist, along with built-in Google Circle to Search. And yes, Samsung is promising seven years of Android updates and security patches — a huge win for long-term users.
Price and availability
The Galaxy S25 Edge is priced at $1,099.99 (around when converted ₹94,000), and we expect it to land in India at about ₹1.05-1.10 lakhs. It’s clearly targeting users who want top-tier specs in a compact, premium frame — though we’ll have to see how the smaller battery and camera trade-offs affect the real-world experience.
Stay tuned, for we will be putting out a full review soon.
