Poco just dropped two new flagship killers, the Poco F7 Ultra and Poco F7 Pro, and they’re looking like serious contenders.
Both phones come with stunning 6.67-inch WQHD+ AMOLED displays that can hit a whopping 3,200 nits of peak brightness. But that’s all that’s common between the two.
Poco F7 Pro: Raw power
The Poco F7 Pro is all about speed and efficiency. It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, making everything feel super smooth. Performance is taken care of by the almighty Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It has a 6.67-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display, with 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support make videos pop.
Camera-wise, the Pro comes with a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor (with OIS for steady shots) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. For selfies, you get a 20MP front camera. It also packs an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
To keep things cool during heavy gaming, the phone features LiquidCool 4.0 technology, ensuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 doesn’t overheat. Battery life is solid with a 6,000mAh cell, and 90W wired charging means you can juice it up in no time.
Poco F7 Ultra: The ultimate flagship experience
The Poco F7 Ultra is the real deal for power users. It has the same 6.67-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display with 3,200 nits brightness and 120Hz refresh rate, but it steps things up with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, possibly the best SoC for Android devices on the market right now and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It also features UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring lightning-fast app launches and multitasking.
On the camera front, the Ultra flexes hard. It rocks a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom, and a 32MP ultra-wide camera. The telephoto lens has a 60mm focal length and even supports macro photography. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera.
The Ultra also comes with IP68 water resistance, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, Navic support, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. It even has an AI-based face unlock system.
Gaming gets a boost with the VisionBoost D7 graphics chip, and thermal management is handled by LiquidCool 4.0 with a massive 5,400mm² dual-channel IceLoop system. Battery life? A 5,300mAh cell with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Pricing and availability
Poco is keeping things aggressive with pricing. The Poco F7 Ultra starts at $599 or around Rs. 51,000 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, while the 16GB + 512GB version costs $649 or about Rs. 55,000. It comes in Black and Yellow.
The Poco F7 Pro is even more tempting. The 12GB + 256GB model is priced at $449 or around Rs. 38,000, while the 12GB + 512GB version costs $499, or roughly Rs. 42,000. You can grab it in Black, Blue, or Silver.
The India launch timeline is still under wraps, but given Poco’s track record, it shouldn’t be too long before these flagships hit the market. Keep an eye out!
