Vivo has officially launched the Vivo V50e in India, just weeks after introducing the standard V50 model. Positioned in the upper mid-range segment, the V50e brings several flagship-like features, including a curved AMOLED display, a high-resolution selfie camera, and blazing-fast charging speeds — all starting under ₹30,000.
Display and Design
The Vivo V50e features a 6.77-inch full-HD+ quad-curved AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. With peak brightness reaching 1,800 nits, HDR10+ support, and a 2,160Hz PWM dimming rate, the screen promises an immersive and smooth visual experience. Vivo has also equipped the phone with SGS-certified low blue light protection and Diamond Shield Glass for added durability.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on Android 15 out of the box, layered with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15 skin. Vivo has promised three years of major Android updates and four years of security patches, which is a solid commitment for a phone in this category.
The Vivo V50e packs a dual rear camera setup, led by a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation and an f/1.79 aperture. It’s accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide shooter with a 116-degree field of view. On the front, the phone features a 50MP selfie camera — an eye-catching spec for content creators and selfie enthusiasts alike. Vivo has also included its signature Aura Light feature to assist with low-light photography.
The phone has a 5,600mAh battery that supports 90W wired fast charging, making it one of the fastest-charging devices in its class. The phone also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for security and boasts IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance — a rare combination in this price range.
Pricing and availability
The Vivo V50e is available in two colour options — Pearl White and Sapphire Blue. While both variants weigh 186g, the Sapphire Blue version is slightly thicker at 7.61mm compared to the Pearl White’s 7.39mm. Pricing starts at ₹28,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 8GB + 256GB model is priced at ₹30,999. The device goes on sale from April 17 via Amazon, Flipkart, and the Vivo India e-store, with pre-bookings already underway.
