OnePlus has just unveiled the 13S, a phone that promises flagship-level design and features with subtle but impactful refinements. We got our hands on the special media edition for an early look, and here’s what you need to know about the design, and build of this India-exclusive model.
OnePlus 13S Unboxing experience
The special media box differs from the retail version, coming wrapped in a vegan leather case that immediately feels premium. Inside, a letter from OnePlus CEO Pete Lau welcomes you before revealing the retail box. The package includes the OnePlus 13S itself, a silicon phone cover, quick start guide, SIM ejector tool, an 80W charger, and a USB-A to USB-C cable.
OnePlus 13S Design and feel
The OnePlus 13S looks and feels every bit a flagship with glass on the front and back and metal rails along the sides. The Green Silk finish exclusive to India offers a soft matte, almost velvet-like texture that feels more crafted than mass-produced, lending it a refined but not boring character.

While the phone features Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and Panda Glass on the back, it doesn’t quite match the toughest glass options available elsewhere. The design itself borrows elements from industry leaders: the camera island has clear Pixel vibes, and the flat glass with rounded edges is reminiscent of Samsung’s Galaxy S series.
The new Plus Key on the side mirrors Apple’s Action Button—you press and hold to launch apps or shortcuts. It’s a handy feature but feels a bit limited, much like its Apple counterpart.
OnePlus 13S Price and availability
OnePlus’s latest compact flagship, the OnePlus 13S, is set to launch in India on June 5. It will come in three colour options: Black Velvet, Pink Satin, and the India-exclusive Green Silk.
While the official pricing will be announced at the launch event, leaks suggest the phone could be priced around ₹55,000. If true, this places the 13S squarely between the OnePlus 13R and the OnePlus 13 in terms of cost and features, offering a balanced choice for buyers looking for a refined flagship experience.
