In politically charged Bihar, the opposition Mahagathbandhan bloc announced Tejashwi Yadav as its chief ministerial face for of the upcoming assembly polls.

The alliance also announced Vikasheel Insaan Party leader, Mukesh Sahani, as its deputy chief ministerial candidate on Thursday.

Addressing the media, Gehlot took a jibe at the BJP, questioning—who exactly is their chief ministerial candidate in Bihar?

The INDIA bloc made the announcement amid reports of a rift in the grand alliance partners.

Before the announcement, a Mahagathbandhan poster featuring only RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav sparked a controversy, prompting the BJP to allege rift within the coalition.

Yadav, however, dismissed claims of infighting. He said that his photo featured alone because he is the alliance’s CM face.

Many prominent leaders of Mahagathbandhan and the INDIA bloc were present on the occasion, including CPI (ML) Liberation general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot, Bihar Congress chief Rajesh Ram, Bihar Congress incharge Krishna Allavaru, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Kumar Jha, and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) convenor Mukesh Sahani, among others.'

Meanwhile, Bihar is set for a two-phased election on November 6 and 11. The results will be announced on November 14.
