Bihar's grand alliance Mahagathbandhan released its Bihar Manifesto named ‘Bihar ka Tejashwi Pran (Bihar’s Tejashwi Resolve)’.
The INDIA bloc has taken the lead in announcing both Chief Ministerial face and the Manifesto in Bihar.
The 25-point manifesto promised employment generation, infrastructure development, education reforms, healthcare expansion, migrant welfare, corruption-free governance, social justice and equitable development.
Calling the manifesto Bihar’s Tejashwi Resolve he also announced 2500 monthly monetary help for 5 years for women.
Mahagathbandhan Chief Ministerial Candidate Tejashwi Yadav said."The INDIA bloc manifesto is the roadmap for the development of Bihar. It is a resolution to make the state number one,"
Targetting the BJP government in Bihar, Tejashwi said, "The NDA has no vision for Bihar... they have not released the manifesto for the polls so far... BJP leaders and corrupt officials have made Chief Minister Nitish Kumar a puppet... The BJP is using Nitish Kumar to further its interest... Union Home Minister Amit Shah has already made it clear that Nitish will not be the CM face,"
The manifesto also mentions new degree colleges in 136 blocks, zero tolerance for corruption, Most Backward Classes Atrocity Prevention Act’, and an increase in reservation for Extremely Backward Classes in panchayats and urban bodies from 20% to 30%, and for SC/STs from 16% to 20%. It also promised not to implement the controversial Waqf (Amendment) Act.
Calling the manifesto ‘practical and implementable, the INDIA block CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav vowed to fulfill the promises at all costs.
Yadav promised that within 20 days of taking office, the INDIA alliance will bring laws guaranteeing one job for one member of every family.
Even though the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance has criticised Tejashwi’s poll promises, calling them impossible, it remains to be seen if the people of Bihar elect him for the top post in the coming elections
