“Targeted terror attack" in Colorado, US
6 people have been injured after a 45-year-old man yelled "Free Palestine" and threw Molotov cocktails into a crowd in Boulder, Colorado in the US where a peaceful event in support of Israeli hostages was underway.
FBI Director Kash Patel has described the incident as a "targeted terror attack," and Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser said it appeared to be "a hate crime given the group that was targeted".
Boulder Police Chief said he did not believe anyone else was involved.
Ukraine uses smuggled drones to strike Russian military bases
Moving on, Ukraine completed its biggest long-range attack of the war with Russia after using smuggled drones to launch a series of major strikes on 40 Russian warplanes at four military bases.
In a statement, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared that 117 drones were used in the so-called "Spider's Web" operation by the SBU security service, striking "34% of Russia's strategic cruise missile carriers".
Zelenskyy added that it took a year-and-a-half to organise the strikes that came on the eve of peace talks due to start in Istanbul on Monday.
Russia confirmed Ukrainian attacks in five regions calling them a "terrorist act".
Over 30 aid seekers killed in Gaza, Israel denies report
To the latest from Gaza, more than 30 Palestinians were killed and nearly 170 injured in south Gaza near a food distribution site, according to the Hamas-controlled Gaza health ministry.
Witnesses reported Israeli soldiers fired on people trying to collect aid but Israel has denied it.
Israel's military said that an initial inquiry found soldiers had not fired on civilians while they were near or within the distribution site.
Punjab Kings make it to IPL 2025 finals!
In sports news - Punjab Kings have booked their spot in the final of IPL 2025 after beating Mumbai Indians by five wickets in Qualifier 2.
Kings’ Shreyas Iyer led from the front slamming an unbeaten 87 off 41 balls as they chased down 204 with an over to spare.
The convincing win sees Kings taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final on June 3.
