The biggest corporate scandal of 2025 just got its own pati, patni aur woh twist. Most of us have seen that viral Coldplay kiss-cam clip — Andy Byron, CEO of billion-dollar AI giant Astronomer, spotted getting a little too cosy with the company’s HR head, Kristin Cabot.
When the duo tried to duck, Coldplay’s Chris Martin dropped the line of the night: “Either they’re having an affair… or they’re very shy.” That turned the moment into a global viral clip, triggering days of memes and social media chatter.
The incident also sparked rumours of an affair. Apart from the social ignominy, Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot also lost their jobs at Astronomer as the CEO and the Chief Human Resources Officer, respectively.
But now, there’s a fresh twist in the tale. According to The US Sun, Kristin’s husband, Andrew Cabot, was also at the concert. And he was there with another woman. It turns out that woman, who was then on a date with Andrew, is now officially his girlfriend.
So yes, pati and woh. In fact, earlier this month Andrew Cabot broke his silence on the scandal, shortly after his divorce from Kristin became public. His spokesperson told People that the two were “privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert.”
The spokesperson for the Massachusetts entrepreneur also said: “Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.”
But here’s the kicker. Sources close to Kristin Cabot are now insisting what has happened to her – the scandal, the job loss, and the social media backlash – was unfair because she wasn’t even having an affair with Andy Byron.
According to the same sources, Kristin and her CEO at the AI company were just “great friends.” Though she acknowledges the hug was inappropriate, that was the only inappropriate thing she did, insiders told The US Sun.
Kristin Cabot was the Chief HR Officer (CHRO) at Astronomer, an AI-based data software company. According to her LinkedIn profile, Kristin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Gettysburg College. She has previously worked with ObserveIT, Neo4j, and Proofpoint.
Before the kiss-cam clip went viral, Cabot had written on her LinkedIn profile that she “wins trust with employees of all levels, from CEOs to managers to assistants.”
