Political leaders across the spectrum have hailed India’s attack across nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has expressed his support for the Indian armed forces in a social media post. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared an "Operation Sindoor" card on X, commending India and its armed forces for their decisive action.
Hit them hard enough: Aaditya
Shiv Sena UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray echoed this sentiment, stating on X that terrorism, in all its forms, must be eradicated. He wrote, “Tonight’s precision strikes in PoK are against terrorism, and kudos to the Indian defence forces for keeping it precise to sites where terrorism was being harboured. Hit them, hard enough that terrorism doesn’t stand a chance ever again.”
A befitting reply: Tejashwi
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav also took to X, expressing pride in India's brave soldiers and the Indian Army. The former deputy CM of Bihar wrote, “India, Indians and the Indian Army have never and will never tolerate any form of terrorism and separatism in our country. The Indian Army has on every occassion protected the wombs of mothers, the wrists of sisters, and the vermillion on their foreheads.”
The RJD leader added, “We are people who believe in truth, non-violence and peace. We Indians never do wrong but if someone does wrong to us then we do not tolerate it. If people who foster terrorism attack our unity, integrity and sovereignty then we know how to unite and give a befitting reply. In this fight against terrorism, 140 crore Indians are with the Indian Army and the Government.”

India’s “Operation Sindoor”
Earlier during the day the government released a statement which said that, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.
Nine sites attacked
It added that altogether, nine (9) sites had been targeted. It also said that India’s actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in the selection of targets and methods of execution. India’s steps come in the wake of the Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered.
