Samsung’s 2025 foldable lineup has officially dropped, and this time, we’re not just talking tiny tweaks. Both the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 have slimmed down, smartened up, and flexed some new AI muscles. But while the upgrades are solid, the prices? Still sky high.
Let’s start with the Fold7. This year’s model is Samsung’s sleekest one yet—only 8.9mm thick when folded, just 4.2mm open, and tipping the scales at 215g. The front screen gets a small bump to 6.5 inches, while the inner display stretches to a cinematic 8 inches of AMOLED goodness.
The biggest upgrade? That insane 200MP main camera. It’s paired with a 12MP ultra-wide and a 10MP telephoto shooter, which should cover all your photography moods. Inside, you’ve got Qualcomm’s brand new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip doing the heavy lifting, so expect smooth sailing in performance. The 4,400mAh battery hasn’t changed, though—so don’t expect any miracles there.
The Flip7 isn’t shouting for attention, but it’s quietly leveled up. It’s now just 6.5mm thin when open, and the cover screen? Way better. It’s a 4.1-inch edge-to-edge AMOLED that refreshes at 120Hz and hits a blazing 2,600 nits of brightness. That’s brighter than some full-size phones.
Open it up, and you get a 6.9-inch main screen. The camera setup sticks to a 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide combo. But here’s the fun bit: Samsung’s dropped in an AI tool called Gemini Live right inside the camera app to help with selfie videos. That’s a flex.
It’s running on the in-house Exynos 2500 chip this time. Samsung says it’s been fully optimised, but history hasn’t been kind to Exynos, so we’ll believe it when we test it.
All this goodness comes at a cost—literally. The Galaxy Z Fold7 is priced at ₹1,75,000, and the Flip7 isn’t far behind at ₹1,10,000. Sure, these are the most polished Folds and Flips Samsung’s ever made. But are the upgrades worth that much cash? That’s a decision your wallet will have to make.
