The Supreme Court has refused to examine a PIL seeking a judicial probe into the Pahalgam terror attack. The bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh castigated the petitioners. They also asked them not to bring such issues to the judicial domain, while allowing them to withdraw the plea.
India Reaches Out To South Korea
In line with its diplomatic offensive, India reached out to South Korea on Thursday. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar spoke with his South Korean counterpart, Cho Tae-yul. The EAM is believed to have conveyed India’s policy of ‘zero tolerance’ towards terrorism, in the context of the Pahalgam terror attack and its cross-border linkages.
Security Forces Reclaim Naxal Hub
Security forces have recaptured a Naxal-occupied hill along the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. The Karregutta hill, with an altitude of 5,000 feet, was a hub for the Maoists. However, security forces have reclaimed it following nine days of intense anti-Naxal operations. Just a few days ago, the Naxals had written a letter to the government, seeking talks.

Elon Musk Denies WSJ Report
Elon Musk has slammed the Wall Street Journal for its report claiming that the Tesla board was looking to oust him as the CEO. Musk has called the report “deliberately false.” The report, quoting anonymous sources, had claimed that in March, the Tesla board had approached executive search firms to find a replacement for Musk.

No Test For F&O Participation
Sebi Chief Tuhin Kanta Pandey has ruled out the possibility of an aptitude test for retail traders wanting to participate in the Futures & Options segment. The market regulator was responding to the industry's suggestion of introducing such tests. Pandey called the demand impractical and prone to regulatory overreach.
