The Indian Army has eliminated three terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. According to an Army statement, a Rashtriya Rifles unit launched a search and destroy operation in Shopian on Tuesday. During the operation, they eliminated three hardcore terrorists. The operation, called Operation Keller, was in progress at the time of writing.
PM Modi Visits Adampur AFS
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited the Air Force Station in Adampur, Punjab. The PM shared images from the visit on social media, calling it a special experience. He added that India was eternally grateful to its armed forces for everything they do for the nation. The visit assumes significance as it disproves Pakistan’s claim of destroying the runway and the S-400 missile defence system in Adampur.

Airlines Cancel Srinagar, Amritsar Flights
Airlines such as Air India and Indigo on Tuesday cancelled flights to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, and three other border cities. The airlines said in their travel advisories that the flights were cancelled with passenger safety in mind. The move comes a day after operations were resumed at 32 airports close to the border.
CJI Khanna Retires
It’s the last day in office for Justice Sanjiv Khanna, the 51st Chief Justice of India. During his farewell speech, Justice Khanna said that the public trust that the judiciary has cannot be commanded and must be earned. He also expressed confidence that his successor, Justice BR Gavai, will be a great CJI. Justice Gavai will take the oath as the 52nd Chief Justice of India on Wednesday.
Trump in Saudi Arabia
US President Donald Trump has arrived in Saudi Arabia for his four-day trip to the region. Trump has met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in what is the first key diplomatic trip of his second term in the White House. Over the next few days, Trump will also visit Qatar and the UAE.

A Terrible Tuesday For Dalal Street
After a magnificent Monday, it turned out to be a terrible Tuesday for Indian equities. The Sensex slipped almost 1,300 points, closing just above 81,100. The Nifty also lost more than 300 points to close at around 24,500. According to experts, lack of fresh fundamental cues and profit booking led to the sell-off on Dalal Street.
