Redmi has expanded its smartwatch portfolio with the introduction of the Redmi Watch Move, a device aimed at delivering essential smartwatch features in a streamlined package. As seen across the board with smart devices, we don't get to see a charging brick,
The Redmi Watch Move keeps things simple and light. It comes with a rectangular dial and a no-nonsense polycarbonate body paired with a soft TPU strap. The design is practical more than flashy—but that’s kind of the point. It feels comfy on the wrist, the button on the side has a nice tactile click, and the whole thing is easy to wear all day without really noticing it.
It’s built to be functional, with a decent size that should fit most wrists. The strap is detachable too, so if you want to swap it out for something with a bit more personality, you can.
The watch packs a 1.85-inch AMOLED screen that’s bright enough at 600 nits and has a crisp resolution of 390 x 450 pixels. It supports Always-On Display and runs smoothly with a 50-60Hz refresh rate. The screen-to-body ratio is solid too, so it doesn’t feel cramped.
On the health and fitness side, you’re sorted with heart rate tracking, SpO₂ monitoring, sleep and stress tracking, and even female health tracking. It covers over 140 workout modes, and it can automatically detect seven common ones like running, cycling, or jumping rope. Plus, with an IP68 rating, you won’t have to worry about sweat or a bit of rain.
It runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS and syncs with the Mi Fitness app, which makes setup a breeze. Bluetooth 5.3 handles the connection, and it stays stable during use. The app lets you tweak watch faces, manage notifications, and keep your health stats in one place.
There’s Bluetooth calling built in, complete with quick replies, a dial pad, and call logs. You also get handy extras like music controls, camera shutter, alarms, stopwatch, and the classic “find my phone” feature.
For battery life, we get a pretty solid 14-day cycle with regular use. Charging it from dead takes around an hour and a half with the magnetic cable that comes in the box.
The Redmi Watch Move is priced at just ₹1,999. Pre-orders open on April 24 at noon, and it goes on sale May 1 via mi.com and Flipkart. It comes in four colour options—Black Drift, Blue Blaze, Silver Sprint, and Gold Rush.
For the price, this watch feels like a steal. It doesn’t try to be over-the-top—it just does the basics well. No GPS or app store, but if you’re after a clean, reliable smartwatch without breaking the bank, it’s ticking the right boxes.
